Software:

By default, the WT12 module is equipped with powerful and easy-to-use iWRAP firmware. iWRAP enables users to access Bluetooth functionality with simple ASCII commands delivered to the module over the serial interface - it's just like a Bluetooth modem. Entering the world of wireless Bluetooth® technology could not be easier!

iWRAP software provides you with several implementation options:

. iWRAP can be configured to operate autonomously - just like a Bluetooth cable replacer 
. You can create sophisticated applications - a host system can be used to control iWRAP by using ASCII commands 
. The GPIO interface on the WT12 module can be used to connect host and iWRAP 

Besides the iWRAP firmware, Bluegiga also offers several other firmware options for the WT12 module. Standard Host Command Interface (HCI) firmware is supported. This is an ideal solution for systems where the host system is able to run the entire Bluetooth® stack and profiles and WT12 is used as a low radio over UART or USB interface.

Bluegiga also provides custom firmware services, eliminating the need for customers to perform firmware or parameters installation on production line, significantly reducing the production cost, time and complexity.
